The annual Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Excellence Awards Honoring the Region’s Small Businesses has a “Green Business of the Year” award. The qualifications are listed below. Nominees must:

• Be located in the Chamber’s 11-county Greater Philadelphia footprint *
• Have between one and 100 employees
• Have been in business at least three years
• Not have won an Excellence Award in the last five years
• Must excel in one or more of the category-specific criteria outlined below

Nominees should be prepared to provide:

• Percentage of revenue growth for the past three years
• Examples of community involvement
• Examples of media coverage

Exclusions:

• Government agencies
• Businesses that are part of a national company

Note: Franchises can participate if their corporate office is located in our region and has fewer than 100 employees.

Green Business of the Year

• Provides a green service or product as its primary offering (more than 50% of total sales)
• Company adheres to the principles of the Triple Bottom Line – People, Planet, Profit
• Original or exemplary service and/or measurable outcome of results
• Strong community involvement
